Welcome!
I'm thrilled to be part of the Shepard Elementary community for another school year!

My undergraduate studies were at Texas Tech University, where I became a lifelong Red Raider. Wreck 'em Tech! I proudly received my Master’s degree in Teacher Education from Tarleton State University in 2025.

After college, I spent an incredible year and a half living abroad in Germany, where I worked in schools located on the Spangdahlem and Bitburg Air Force bases. I returned to Texas in 2005 and settled in Dallas, where I met my husband. In 2015, we moved to Plano and absolutely love calling it home!

We have three amazing boys—Luke, Kieran, and Knox—who are all proud PISD students. Rounding out our family is Dorito, our fun-loving Beagle/Lab mix, who we think is the best puppy in the world!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time at the beach, gardening, researching genealogy for friends and family, and diving into all things history. I'm passionate about creating a positive and enriching school experience for students and their families. My mission is to help children discover a lifelong love of learning and empower them to reach their fullest potential.

7:00 am - 7:30 am Early Morning Drop-Off. During this time, students will be either in the gym or in the cafeteria for breakfast until the 7:30 am bell rings.

7:30 am - 7:40 am Greet Students

7:40 am - 7:45 am  Announcements

7:45 am - 8:00 am  Daily Meeting

8:00 am - 9:30 am Reading/ELA 

9:30 am - 9:45 am I/I

9:45 am - 10:35 am Specials

10:35 am - 11:05 am Recess

11:05 am - 11:35 am Lunch

11:35 am - 11:00 pm Math

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Science

2:00 pm - 2:45 pm Social Studies

2:45 pm - 2:55 pm Pack Up/Dismissal

Library:

Each class gets 45 minutes at a time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

PACE:

There are 2 PACE groups. PACE students receive 1 hour at a time on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Counselor:

Each class gets 30 minutes at a time on a TBD day.
